Ummagumma Extra EDP

$145.00 USD
A smoky, dark chocolate gourmand.

Rich and quietly decadent, incense and dark chocolate form the heart of Ummagumma Extra. Black pepper, saffron, and a touch of honey add warmth, while tobacco, sandalwood, and cedar create a structure that makes this a very grown-up gourmand.

Ummagumma Extra amplifies what made the original a cult favorite but adds more depth, projection, and a longer, darker trail. Same soul, more intensity.

Ummagumma Extra began during an endlessly rainy winter in San Francisco. One night, after ducking into a small bar with a fireplace, I realized what I was craving wasn’t sunshine, it was warmth, comfort, and a bit of celebratory decadence.

I’d been thinking about making a gourmand, but I wanted mine to feel grown-up. Sweetness is easy; what interested me was the tension between dark chocolate, incense, and the kind of smoky depth that makes a scent feel human, not syrupy.

Saffron, black pepper, honey, dark chocolate, tobacco, cedar, incense, sandalwood, tonka bean, leather, vanilla.

Dark winter nights; rich meals; extravagant drinks; good company; sensuality.

Ummagumma Extra EDP is a bit more intense than

Ummagumma Extra EDP is a bit more intense than the prior iteration of Ummagumma. This is not a bad thing at all. I love this scent. The woody cedar and sandalwood are prominent but supremely balanced. This also lasts a long time, so there's no fear of it going away after 2 hours. I often get asked what I'm wearing, or told that I smell really nice. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in Fzotic's products. I haven't been let down yet...and I have 5 different fragrances from this company.

Ummagumma

Ummagumma by Fzotic is one of the more interesting scents I’ve tried. It’s dark, textured, and a little unexpected—cocoa, woods, and something slightly smoky. It evolves nicely on my skin and doesn’t collapse into sweetness, which I appreciate. It also blends well with other scents if I want to experiment. Honestly, I enjoy it enough that it could easily be an everyday scent for me.

another banger

I didn't know how a fragrance like Ummagumma could be made "extra" without becoming overwhelming but this is like a symphony doing a cover of your favorite punk song. It's so so beautiful. the chocolate really sings, its deep and rich without being cloying. Saffron is one of my favorite notes and it is used with such skill in this beautiful composition. truly a work of art.

Ummagumma with a little extra

I have the original Ummagumma and I love the spicy, chocolate sweetness of it. I was a little worried when I heard about Ummagumma extra but it's amazing. It opens with the dark chocolate and then moves into this absolutely beautiful incense scent. It still has just a hint of sweetness which keeps it from coming on too strong. This version of Ummagumma is an absolute delight.

Great scent, distinct from the original

I love the original, but this seems more like what the scent was intended to be. Much darker, sharper, and bolder. Love it! The incense is MUCH more noticeable than in the EDP. Very liturgical style incense, so you do have to be pretty in love with that smell.

Surprising ! On my skin The Extra is so much different than the Original

I am going to don Ummagumma Extra as my "friendlier" version of Ummagumma because I am known for wearing dark, spicy, smoky & even somewhat haunting slightly medicinal scents which at times are not for the "general public" . I did not read the difference in notes between the two, only "the stronger and longer lasting" & as Ummagumma is one of my all time favorite scents (ever) I jumped to the site the moment I received the email announcing the release of Extra. Soon after arrival, I gave my wrist 2 hefty pumps , waited a couple seconds & the air emitted a dense chocolate & the surprise of a very powdery sweetness I had not expected. (Let me clarify it is a beautiful scent, just shockingly different than the original on me). Two hours in I sprayed the other wrist with the original Ummagumma I have loved for years. I held off about 3 minutes before comparing. Yes the similarity of most notes were spot on , however without the spicy carnation , the frankincense , or the resinous .As promised, the sillage of the Extra is higher, as well as the longevity , but on me the sweetness and the chocolate far exceed the spice & other notes of the Original. I highly suggest trying it; & again I state it is beautiful / unique ; perhaps only my nose breathes in & my skin emits a much sweeter and powdery version .

Better than the original

At first my nose wasn't mature enough to decipher this beautiful composition and by the time I started loving it unfortunately it was sold out so once I got the email for umma gumma extra I had to purchase definitely more potent , more long lasting and projecting as the og my favorite from the house

In addition to Lampblack, this is perhaps one of my favorite perfumes that Bruno makes. Warm, rich, cozy, luscious -- perfect wintertime smell.

Extra en español

Incienso y miel. Una fragancia oscura, humeante y sutilmente dulce. Nunca he probado el original, pero este flanker tiene mucha personalidad. Lo considero una fragancia más apta para el frío.

just beautiful

dark, dusty, but exquisite. delayed buying a bottle of the original until it was no longer available and regretted it. absolutely no regrets in getting this.

Deep and delightful

Bought this on a lark because I love (and have loved) Ummagumma for years. The Extra is -- and given my love for the original, I am shocked to be saying this-- perhaps even more wonderful? It's somehow brighter without losing any of its gravitas and more complex and sumptuous without being overbearing. It's decorously sultry and warm. Highly recommend!

Get both ;)

Ummagumma is one of my favorite scents and one of my first Fzotic bottles in my collection. Ummagumma extra has the same essence, and it wears closer to the skin and the edges are more smoothed out. I have been wearing one on each wrist, and I think Extra is good for when you want it to be more intimate and personal, the original is good for when you want more diffusion and are open to sharing with those around you. They both last amazingly long when you spray both on skin and fabric.

Everything I wanted it to be

As soon as I saw a more intense version of this extraordinary fragrance was in development, I knew I had to get my hands on it. It exceeded my expectations. Dark, rich, and with a little more incense, this will be a mainstay through the colder months! Truly a work of art.

Slight variation on the delicious original

Both versions of Ummagumma smell very similar. When I spritz them side by side, I can detect some notes are a little more prominent in the new Extra version. Both are in my top five fragrance faves!

A cauldron of Ummagumma goodness. A deep warm and resinous spell for whatever ails you.

Characteristic perfection

Beautiful, powerful fragrance—smoky, dry, hardly a gourmand even as the chocolate and boozy notes are unmistakable. Excellent work. A little goes a long way. Lasts forever.

Absolutely one of my best buys in 2025. An astounding fragrance, handmade, by one of the best niche microbrands in the business. Bar none.

Surprise!

I’ll start by saying that I purchased this for my husband. He has gone through 3 bottles of the OG Ummagumma. I was skeptical, because I am not a fan of the Tom Ford ‘Extra’ scents. (They smell nothing like the OG.) HOWEVER, Ummagumma Extra is the OG amplified to the best degree! Who knew it could smell even better! The husband is happy and I am enjoying the upgraded scent as well!
On a side note…I received (as requested) a sample of Deixis with my order. With Deixis, I have found my new favorite fragrance for myself! The complex mix of spice and sweetness is a wonderful balance!

Amazing

To be honest, I can't tell the difference between the extra and the original. And that is a good thing because I fell in love with the original circa 2023.

Ummagumma Extra, xo

Ummagumma Extra is beautiful. I loved the OG and was sorry I couldn't get a bottle of it, but am super pleased with the Extra as it smells very similar to what I remember from OG. Thank you Bruno, for me its a LOVE.

So Delicious!

Ummagumma Extra - I was a little scared that I would not love it as much as the original, but I DO! It makes me feel big in all of the GOOD ways. And snugglylicious.

Ummagumma…Extra Light?

For context, Ummagumma is one of my most worn scents since it came out. I’m halfway through bottle number two (w/#3 waiting in the wings) and I’m still as enamored with it as I was during that first spray in 2017. That’s not just lip service, I have Basenotes SOTD stats to back it up.

When I first saw the email that an “extra” version was in the works, because people were asking for MORE from Ummagumma I thought, who are these absolute bacchanalian gluttons??? To me, the genius of the OG Ummagumma is how well it balances the more “extra” gourmand aspects (a chocolate/resinous/tobacco combo) without walking it through the Cupcake City gates. It’s rich, cozy, warm, all while still allowing for the contrast of terpy frankincense and bright, refreshing airiness of a good cedar accord to shine through. It’s a comforting, engaging, frankly outstanding work of olfactory precision. In musical terms (how can I not, right?) Ummagumma got the mix perfect - the low end, the snare, the bass tone, the jangly guitars. It just works.

My (admittedly cynical) reaction to reading the final description of Ummagumma Extra right before release was “he messed with the dials, it’s gonna throw off the mix and turn it into another overly chocolate gourmand goop”. Imagine my surprise when I did my first side by side wearing with the OG and Extra stuck me as more angular, sparse/less rich, with a crystalline backbone of transparent woods. I find the original “louder” during the wear and find they both last on skin roughly the same duration.

I have to be honest, I find nothing “extra” here. It’s more like Ummagumma Light. Which is to say, it smells great, it’s recognizably a well-executed riff on Ummagumma by the same talented nose, and I’m glad to have a version of a favorite out in the world. But from my perception, the perception of a total Ummagumma diehard, this smells dialed back and streamlined, not turned up to 11. Whether this is because my half empty bottle of pre-Fzotic OG Ummagumma is from 2018 and somewhat oxidized, who knows.

What I do know is I’m thoroughly enjoying this nonetheless. I’ll certainly use up this travel spray and potentially buy a 30ml once that happens. But as long as the original Ummagumma exists in this world, it will be my preference and see more love. It’s a true 10/10 for me. Ummagumma Extra is a solid 7/10.

Incense bomb

This is a total incense bomb on me. Not getting any chocolate. This is a beautiful scent but very potent, spray with moderation.
